See you in Church Sunday at 10am

Dear Friends,
Many of us just might be living more as slaves to time these days.  These wonderful, sunny, lingering days of August just might be pushing us to get more done before the sudden regimented time sets in after Labor Day.  I hope that this coming week-end we just might free ourselves up just a bit.  On Sunday we will have some time to walk the Labyrinth.  It is hoped this more relaxed service centered on our collective and individual journeys will aid us in focusing on our sense of wholeness, on our walk with God and our relationship with the life and teachings of Jesus.  The use of the path in the labyrinth helps us focus on the heart of the pattern, to try and get a sense of the whole from its center point.  There will be several opportunities for folks to spend some time walking the Labyrinth this Sunday. Hopefully this will help us relax during this busy time, help us reconnect to our bodies and its natural rhythm, helps us expand our relationships to one another, help us deepen our relationship to God.
For some, walking the labyrinth is a form of prayer, for others it is a form of devotion or meditation, for others it is a time for celebrating life’s journey and God’s plan for us.  With this in mind there will be both more reflective quiet times to walk the labyrinth and more uplifting moments to walk the labyrinth.  Please plan to join us outside on the lawn this Sunday, September 2, at 10:00 am.  This is our last Sunday for one service.  On September 9, we go back to Worship at 8:30, Education Time at 9:30, and Worship at 10:30.
In peace,
Pastor Stephen
